Nordic Plains Aviation utilizes three Piper Aircraft for flight training. We have two IFR certified Piper Cherokee 140s and a IFR certified Piper Arrow 200 with a Garmin Autopilot.

Redbird AATD Full-Motion Flight Simulator

The Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Device provides enhanced training for students during the course of their training.  As an AATD, we can log anywhere from 2.5 hrs toward your required flight time for a private pilots license to 50 hours for a commercial. We are also pleased to offer the GIFT program through Red Bird, which provides an AI powered experience for students to practice what they are learning in the air on their own in the Redbird simulator, which can save the student time and money vs. flying the aircraft.

Our Redbird simulator provides a Cessna 172 single engine experience with a simulated Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

Rental Rate: $85 per hour​, or pre-pay and save!

  • 5 Hours Prepaid = $350 ($70 / hr, a $50 savings)
  • 10 Hours Prepaid – $650 ($65 / hr, a $200 savings)
  • 20 Hours Prepaid – $1200 ($60 / hr, a $500 savings)
